Braylen Jeremiah Lee Jones was born on February 18, 2009, in Paducah, Kentucky, to LaQuita Berry and Steven Haws. Affectionately known by many as "Bway." Braylen's quiet spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love for those around him left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know him.

At just 17 years old, Braylen accomplished what many only aspire to do. He graduated early from Valley High School in Louisville, Kentucky, on May 27, 2026, as a junior. An honor student with a natural talent for mathematics, Braylen was determined, hardworking, and driven. While maintaining his academic success and pursuing early graduation, he worked a part-time job at Meijer, demonstrating a remarkable work ethic and maturity beyond his years.

Braylen found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved the game of basketball, listening to music and creating music of his own, spending time with his friends, playing video games, scrolling on his cellphone, and enjoying the outdoors. He especially appreciated nature and found peace in taking walks. Though he was often quiet and reserved, those closest to him knew that Braylen loved deeply and wholeheartedly.

Braylen possessed a gentle strength that could not be measured. He had a natural desire to protect those he loved and stood firmly on his principles. He was respectful, well-mannered, and a true gentleman in the presence of adults. He carried himself with dignity and determination. Those who knew him best will smile remembering his sense of humor and his love for good food-especially his favorite Burger King meals. He certainly didn't like being broke, but he knew the value of hard work and was never afraid to earn what he wanted.

Braylen was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by his uncle, Darmeitrus Montrell Berry, and his paternal grandmother, Anna Mae Haws.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory his parents, LaQuita Berry and Steven Haws; his brothers, Maliek Berry, Dante Lynox, Dakota Haws, and Nicolas Haws; his sisters, Kyrah Myers and Maya Berry; his nephew, Phoenix; his nieces, Evinee and Naomi; his grandparents, Julia Berry and Robert Jones; his aunts, Sharmika Berry and Kataria Berry (TT Kat); his cousin, Jay; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by his presence.

Though Braylen's time on earth was far too short, the impact of his life will endure. His quiet love spoke volumes. His strength inspired others. His dreams, determination, and gentle spirit will never be forgotten. While our hearts grieve the loss of this extraordinary young man, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on in the memories he created and the love he gave so freely.

Forever 17. Forever loved. Forever our "Bway."
