Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Gerald "Keith" House
On Friday, January 23, 2026, God gently called His child home to rest. Gerald "Keith" House, born on March 15, 1959, in Paris, Tennessee, was the beloved son of the late Nellie Mae House.
At an early age, Keith accepted Christ and united with Cedar Hill Missionary Baptist Church (Cottage Grove, TN), where his faith was nurtured and remained a guiding force throughout his life. He was a proud graduate of Henry County High School, where he distinguished himself as a member of the baseball team and built friendships that would last a lifetime.
Seeking new opportunities, Keith later relocated to Columbus, Ohio, where he dedicated 25 years of faithful service to Walmart Supercenter before retiring. His strong work ethic, dependability, and steady presence left a lasting impression on coworkers and friends alike.
Keith was preceded in death by grandparents Obe and Elnora House; mother Nellie Mae House; father, Otis Bennett; two sisters; four brothers; and one nephew.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory two sons, Keith Shunyell Bomar of Paris, Tennessee, and Robert Sterling House (Tonecia) of Phoenix, Arizona; one daughter, Breauna Rene' House of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Willie Mae Copeland and Bianca Lee Travis, both of Paris, Tennessee; one brother, Gary Ray House of Paris, Tennessee; one aunt, Annie M. Foster of Murray, Kentucky; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
Keith was well known for his passion for sports and unwavering loyalty to his favorite teams. Whether cheering on Ohio State, the LA Lakers, the San Francisco 49ers, or the San Francisco Giants, he found joy in every game and never missed an opportunity to support his teams.
Gerald "Keith" House will be remembered for his quiet strength, love for family, dedication to work, and steadfast faith. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched, and the memories forever held in the hearts of those who loved him.
