Henry Leslie Anderson, Jr. "Butch," 74 unexpectedly passed away on April 13, 2026. He was born in Mayfield, KY on April 13, 1952, to Henry and Dorothy Anderson.

He accepted the Lord at an early age and was baptized at St. James AME church in Mayfield. He graduated from Mayfield High School and attended Murray State University.

Henry (Butch) was known for his musical abilities and had a consuming passion for music. He could play any instrument he wanted to play, but his first love was playing the guitar. He played with the Ohio Players and Kool and the Gang. He lived in New Orleans for many years where he played with a local band. In his later years, he settled into Gospel music and taught younger children some of whom he gifted them with his own musical instruments.

Henry was a left-handed guitar player in a right-handed world. He made a left-handed guitar in his dad's woodshop and transferred all the components from the right-hand guitar to the one he made.

Henry was preceded in death by his father, Henry Leslie Anderson Sr., mother, Dorothy May Anderson and a brother Gene Edward Senter. He is survived by his sister, Susy Miller (Carl) of Murray Ky and a brother Karl (Gail) of Owensboro, KY and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The service will be held April 25, 2026, in the chapel of MDH Funeral and Cremation Services. Visitation will be at 11:00 am, and the Memorial Service will begin at 1:00 pm. Pastor Lucille Hayes of Paducah will be officiating the service.
