Obituary-James Odell "Toolie" Whittemore

James Odell "Toolie" Whittemore, age 68, was born on December 28, 1957, in Graves County, Kentucky, to the late Rastus and Ollie B. (Hobbs) Whittemore. He peacefully departed this life on April 11, 2026, at Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, Kentucky, and entered into eternal rest.

At an early age, James professed a hope in Christ and united with Hickory Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America, where he remained a faithful and devoted member until the church ceased operations. He held a deep love for the Lord, his church, and his family.

James was a proud graduate of Symsonia High School and dedicated his life to working as a skilled mechanic, a trade he carried with pride and commitment.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Nobee Yarber, Mary Whittemore, and Saundra Yarber; and five brothers, Arfestus, Freddie, Charles, Rastus Jr., and Melvin Whittemore.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Thomas Claybon Mack; two grandchildren, Milance "Mac" Mack and Luka Thomas Mack; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.
